The alias:Beta-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate disodium salt; Oxidized coenzyme II; NADP-NA2; Oxidized coenzyme II disodium (NADPNA2); Oxidized coenzyme ⅰ /NAD; Oxidizing coenzyme II(NChemicalbookADP); β-nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate (Coenzyme ⅱ) disodium salt; β-NADH disodium phosphate, disodium triphosphopyridine nucleotide
Chemical characteristics of:
CAS: 24292-60-2
Molecular formula: C21H26N7Na2O17P3
Molecular weight: 787.37
biochemical mechanism:Nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide phosphate NADP and NADPH form REDOX pairs. The nicotinyl part of the molecule has the properties of reversible hydrogenation and dehydrogenation. In the pentose phosphate pathway of glucose, NADP+ receives the oxidation of GLUCOSE-6-phosphate to hydrogen removed BY the enzyme 6-phosphoglucOse-ENDASE TO produce NADPH.
Glucose-6-phosphate +- Glucose phosphate + NADPH + H+
Use:β-NADH disodium phosphate has been used for the quantification of glucose in glycogen. It is also used in hexokinase, hexaphosphatase determination, myocardial testing items.
